Antwerp fromHolland in the early 19th century. It was the first largesynagogue in Antwerp. Built byJewish architect Joseph Hertogs (1861-1930), it was inaugurated on Bouwmeestersstraat 7, in1893 . Today the synagogue is used for services only onRosh Hashana andYom Kippur .
