Azam Khan (Bangla: আজম খান) (full name Mahbubul Haque Khan) (born February 28, 1950) is a famous Bangladeshi (Bengali) pop singer. He was the pioneer in Bengali pop music launching and founded a band called "Uchcharon" with a literal meaning of "Enunciation" in the early 1970s Tanim, Faizul A, [http://www.thedailystar.net/magazine/2004/04/05/coverstory.htm The Turbulent Evolution of Bangla Rock] , Cover story, the Daily Star Magazine, April 5, 2004] . After the war, he introduced an energetic brand of music. His first concert in television was broadcasted in 1972 in Bangladesh Television.
