Bruce Tinsley

Edward Bruce Tinsley (born 1958 in Louisville, Kentucky) is an American cartoonist, best known for his conservative comic strip "Mallard Fillmore".

Bruce Tinsley attended Indiana University. [citation needed.] He then worked for various newspapers as a reporter. [citation needed] He began his cartoon career as an editorial cartoonist for The Daily Progress in the 1980s. [citation needed] While a cartoonist there, he was asked to create a character for the paper's entertainment section. After several rejects, Mallard Fillmore was accepted, and made his debut in 1991. [citation needed] Mallard was later syndicated in 1994, through King Features Syndicate. [citation needed]

On December 4, 2006, Tinsley was arrested for DUI with a blood alcohol level of 0.14, just below twice the legal limit in Indiana, according to the Columbus Sheriff's Department.
