Shire of Whitsunday is a former Local Government Area in north Queensland, Australia. The shire included the towns of Proserpine, Airlie Beach, Cannonvale and Shute Harbour. It also included the islands of the Whitsundays, including the resort islands of Hamilton Island, Hayman Island and Daydream Island. The shire is now part of Whitsunday Regional Council.

Proserpine was the administrative centre for the shire.
