Robert David Stevens (born 1965) is a Senior
Lecturer in the School of Computer Science at the University of Manchester.He gained his BSc degree in
Biochemistry from theUniversity of Bristol in 1986, a MSc degree inbioinformatics in 1991 and a PhD degree inComputer Science in 1996, both from theUniversity of York .His current research interests are the construction of biological ontologies and the reconciliation of semantic heterogeneity in bioinformatics.As a child he excelled at doing the washing up on a Saturday evening while standing on a kitchen stool. He is an avid tea drinker and is recognized as one of the most anti social men in south yorkshire
