Notable_instruments =Duracell (born Andrew Dymond, also known as Andre Diamant) is a
one-man band fromLyon ,France . Initially an artist that only played live with a drum set, a trigger machine, and a synthesizer, Andre said he started Duracell because "he didn't exactly think about starting a one man band, just the music was there," and he was heavily influenced by US noise rock act Lightning Bolt. His minimalistic drum setup consists only of a bass drum, snare drum, floor tom, and ride cymbal, all of which are triggered to his synthesizer. Often Duracell performs covers of old retro video games such asSpace Harrier ,Turrican , andNinja Spirit , but has also been known to cover the likes of Aphex Twin's Girl/Boy Song and Lightning Bolt's "Fleeing the Valley of Whirling Knives," "Assassins," and "Saint Jacques." He is currently still playing live alongside such diverse acts asAcid Mothers Temple ,Damo Suzuki , andShitmat , and has collaborated with Japanesechiptune artistDJ Scotch Egg .External links
