Sebastian Darke " books are a fantasy series for children. They recount the adventures ofSebastian Darke , a failed jester, and his companions: Max, a talking (and endlessly complaining) "buffalope" (a huge, shaggy beast of burden), and Captain Cornelius Drummel, a tiny but powerful warrior and leading exponent of the lethal Golmiran Death Leap.The first book in the series, ' was published by Random House Children's Books in 2007 and the second, ', in 2008.
