UT TeleCampus

The UT TeleCampus (UTTC), launched in 1998, works with all 15 University of Texas System institutions to build and deliver collaborative online courses, degree programs and support services. Students may complete most online degree programs or courses entirely from a distance. Courses meet the same academic standards as their on-site equivalents. UTTC-based academic programs are bundled with support services including 24x7x365 technical support, digital library services, tutorial support services, and a faculty training program.

More than 17 online academic programs offering dozens of degree and certificate options are available online from accredited University of Texas institutions via UTTC, in addition to a growing catalog of professional development courses.

Since launching UTTC has served more than 69,000 enrollments and as of 2007-2008, averages more than 5,000 enrollments each long semester. Courses run according to the campus calendar for any given semester but provide flexible scheduling so students can decide when, and where, during the day or week to complete their studies.

Academic courses are rigorous and interactive. UTTC course completion rates range from 91 to 95 percent. Students range in age from 17 – 61 but most are 20 to 40 years old. Most graduate students are learning from a distance while most undergraduate students are also taking courses on ground at a UT institution.
