Dianne Buckner Nationality Canadian Notable credit(s) Venture, Dragons' Den Dianne Buckner is a Canadian television journalist,[1] best known as a host of business-oriented programming, such as Venture[1] and Dragons' Den[1][2][3] on CBC Television.
She has also been a guest anchor on CBC news programs such as CBC News: Sunday,[3] Midday and As It Happens.[3] She previously worked for CTV, where she hosted the consumer awareness program Live It Up! and was a reporter for Canada AM and CTV National News.[2][3]
Buckner is currently host and executive-producer of a new business show for CBC News Network called Fortune Hunters.[1] Fortune Hunters looks at new and emerging trends in business and marketing and how Canadian entrepreneurs are capitalizing on them.
Buckner currently hosts Dragons' Den, CBC's hit reality program, and is a member of CBC News' business team. She writes a weekly column about small business for cbc.ca, and has a variety of on-camera roles at CBC News, including back-up host on The Lang and O'Leary Exchange.[2] She is in demand as a public speaker, working with both Speakers' Spotlight, and the National Speakers Bureau.
She lives in Toronto.
