Instituto Nokia de Tecnologia ( _en. Nokia Institute of Technology), also usually referred to as INdT, is a
non-profit organization aimed onresearch and development of mobile software and telecommunication technology. INdT was founded in Brazil byNokia in October 2001 with incentive funds from the Brazilian Law on Information Technology. Despite bearing the name of its corporate founder, the institute is a quite independent research center.With three R&D centers in
Brazil , located inBrasilia ,Manaus , andRecife ), INdT counts on a group of approximately 350 professionals and works to become a world-wide recognized competence center. INdT holds partnership with Universities and otherResearch Centers aimed on fostering digital convergence and technologicalinnovation , as well as organizational and community integration.INdT streams

Mobile Solutions & Services
Mobile Solutions & Services (former Future Solutions) has four main areas: comprehensive testing facilities for
mobile device s, application development formultimedia , social oriented effort target at communities, and research into the latesttelecommunication s infrastructure technologies.Mechanics & Electronic Assemblies
The M&EA stream is conducting
applied research for ensuring the physical performance, quality and reliability of new electronic devices and systems. By developing and utilizing testing and qualification methods and simulations, newhardware technologies can be implemented faster to introduce new high-quality products.Mobile Linux Software
INdT activities in this area are based on
Linux and some other open source technologies, focused on the creation of applications and services. INdT develops a number of activities in its Open Source Mobile Technology Center, supports and contributes in open source communities and otheropen source initiatives.Operations & Logistics
Development of testing platforms and environments to improve the
manufacturing of products through increased efficiency and/or reduced cost. This is the goal R&D activities developed in O&L stream.External links
