Kenneth Stonehouse

Kenneth Stonehouse was a journalist during World War II who died aboard BOAC Flight 777.

In the summer of 1943 Stonehouse had just completed an eighteen month assignment as the Washington, D.C. correspondent of Reuters news agency when he was returning to the agency’s head office in London before becoming a war correspondent. cite news | last = | first = | coauthors = | title = The Times | work = | pages = pg. 7; col C | language = | publisher = | date = 194304 June | url = | accessdate = ] On 1 June 1943 Stonehouse and his wife Peggy Margetts were aboard BOAC Flight 777 from Lisbon to London when German fighter planes shot down the plane over the Bay of Biscay.
