Leah Meyerhoff was born in San Francisco and attended high school in Berkeley, California. She graduated with Honors from
Brown University in 2001 with a Bachelor’s degree inArt -Semiotics . She spent the following year studying film at theSchool of the Art Institute of Chicago , where she also taught at the undergraduate level and founded an art gallery. Leah is currently studying on a full scholarship atNew York University , where she is pursuing a Master’s degree in Film. "Twitch" kicked off the film festival circuit by winning a Grand Jury Prize at
