WYYY ("Y94FM") is a Adult Contemporary music formatted radio station licensed to Syracuse, New York. The Clear Channel Communications outlet broadcasts at 94.5 MHz with an ERP of 100 kW.

History

The station was originally AOR WSYR-FM ("94 Rock") until 1983 when it switched to its current format, where it has enjoyed a long and successful run.

In 2007, the station somewhat tweaked the format, moving toward more classic hits from the 1970s and occasionally the 1960s. This is to distance itself from its hot AC sister station, WWDG.

During the holiday season, from approximately the Friday before Thanksgiving (occasionally, the date of changeover is tied to a contest) through Christmas Day, WYYY changes format to all Christmas music.
