Dr. William A. Henkin Phd, is a San Francisco, California based licensed marriage and family therapist (Board of Behavioral Science license MFT22960), and a Board Certified Sex Therapist and Clinical Supervisor (American Board of Sexology). A long-standing member of the Society for the Scientific Study of Sexuality, he was President of the organization's San Francisco, California chapter in 1991. Also a long-standing member of the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (formerly the Harry Benjamin International Gender Dysphoria Association), he has served on that organization's Ethics Committee since 1999. He is author or co-author of more than a dozen books, including Consensual Sadomasochism (with Sybil Holiday), Bodywise (with Joseph Heller), and The Psychic Healing Book (with Amy Wallace).
