He was a younger son of Sir Thomas Frederick, sometime Governor of Fort St David, and a younger brother of Sir John Frederick, 4th Baronet.
He was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in May 1833.[1] Frederick was Member of Parliament for New Shoreham from 1741 to 1754 and for Queenborough from 1754 to 1784.
