Camp Friendship is a summer camp located in Palmyra, Virginia, for children ages 6-16 looking to increase self-esteem, develop additional friendships, and gaining social competence. Camp Friendship hosts campers from all over the United States, as well from around the world. There are separate camps for grade school and high school children. There is also a Challenge program, where campers take week to two week trips into the wilderness to participate in activities such as caving, mountain biking, and hang gliding. In addition, there is a separate equestrian camp.
History
The convert|730|acre|km2|sing=on facility in central Virginia was founded in 1966 and has since then offered activities such as horseback riding, fishing, swimming, gymnastics and other sporting activities.
