- Hu Dahai
Hu Dahai (?-1339) was a General of the
Ming Dynasty . He was born in present day Si county ofSuzhou, Anhui .It is known that when
Zhu Yuanzhang overthrew theYuan Dynasty , many of his soldiers and officers were moslems. At the end of Ming dynasty there was Ma Shouying inShaanxi province. His nickname was "lao huihui" ("old moslem"), and nickname of his detachment was "lao huihui ying" ("battalion of old moslem"). They went through battles to North-West and joined to Cao Wangli's rebellion. He was remembered as a funny general.
