Vincent Xavier Verodiano Award

The Vincent Xavier Verodiano Award, or Verodiano Award for short, is awarded by the Vincent Xavier Verodiano Foundation. The award is conferred on individuals and/or organizations that contribute to humanity's wellbeing through their own achievements in the field of art, music, literature, science, medicine, humanities or the environment.

The award was founded by Dom Martin in 1989, in memory of his late father, Vincent Xavier Verodiano.

The winner of the award is made public on 20 September, and the award is conferred on 5 November.

Fr. Chico Monteiro was the first recipient of the award.
