Woodhey High School

Woodhey High School

Woodhey High School is a secondary school in Ramsbottom, in the Metropolitan Borough of Bury, Greater Manchester; it was recently made a Specialist Science College. Woodhey High School was built by the Bury LEA (Local Education Authority) in 1979 to replace the old Ramsbottom secondary school. The school is currently in the process of rebuilding, the work is set to be complete by 2009.

Location

Woodhey High School is located near towns such as Rochdale and Edenfield and is not far from Manchester. The address is: Woodhey High School, Bolton Road West, Ramsbottom, Bury, BL0 9QZ. the school is currentrly going through major building and renovation that will include several new classrooms and many more new facilities around the school such as recording studios and other classrooms

Education

Secondary education is provided at Woodhey High School for 11-16 year olds (Years 7 to 11). Many subjects are available to study at Woodhey including: Art, English Literature, English Language, Maths, (Double Award) Science (including biology, chemistry and physics), History, Geography, Music, Information Technology, Business Studies, Electronics, French, Spanish and Child Development.
