Dr. Ezekiel J. Emanuel (1957-) is a noted NIH bioethicist, and a leading opponent of state-
assisted suicide .Currently Emanuel is Director of the Clinical
Bioethics Department at the U.S.National Institutes of Health . He graduated fromAmherst College in 1979 and received his MSc fromOxford University in Biochemistry.
