"Armed Forces & Society" is a quarterly peer-reviewed, interdisciplinary academic journal that publishes scholarly articles and book reviews on civil-military relations, military institutions, conflict management, and arms control. It is the official journal of the Inter-University Seminar on Armed Forces and Society. The current editor is Patricia M. Shields of Texas State University.

The journal was founded in 1974 by Morris Janowitz. Scholarly study of "Armed Forces & Society"
