Notable_instruments = Saadat Awan is a Washington DC native, by way of Pakistan and Afghanistan. He is a member of The Cassettes, Metropolitan band, International Velvet, I.C.U. and formerly Travis Morrison Hellfighters. He has also worked with Lori Carson, These United States, and Nima Majd in the past. Awan is a self taught drummer, bassist, guitarist, keyboardist, and tabla player. Awan has been exporing his roots with his work with The Cassettes, featuring a song sung by him in Urdu entitled "Muja Achi Larki Daydo", as well as in Metropolitan band with "Pakistan International" a song about his trips back to, and experiences in, Pakistan with his family.
