The hill designated Hill 235 during the Korean War is remembered as Gloster Hill because of the actions of the Gloucestershire Regiment (the Glorious Glosters) in following their orders to "Hold on where you are" during the Battle of the Imjin River 1951.

Information on and artefacts from the battle are held by [http://www.glosters.org.uk The Soldiers of Gloucestershire Museum] .

Hill 235 is south of the Imjin River and west of the Seolmacheon stream at coord|37|56|44|N|126|55|44|E in Jeokseong-myeon, Paju City, Gyeonggi-do Province, South Korea.

Memorial

A memorial stands at the foot of Gloster Hill (Coordinates: 37°56'33.78"N, 126°56'21.00"E), beside the Seolmacheon stream, and the British Embassy in Seoul organises services for veterans on every anniversary of the battle.
