Richard Speight Jr. (born September 4, 1970) is an American actor currently in a recurring role as Deputy Bill Kohler on the TV show "Jericho". He previously starred on the CBS drama "The Agency".

Biography

Personal life

Speight was raised in Nashville, Tennessee, the son of Barbara and Richard Speight. Born Sept. 4, 1970, he attended Montgomery Bell Academy and the University of Southern California's School of Theater , graduating cum laude. He has two older sisters, Barby and Lindy. On June 28, 2003, he married Jaci Kathryn Hays, a dot-com executive in California, they have one son.

Speight plays the guitar and bass.

Career

Speight played Sgt. Warren "Skip" Muck in the Golden Globe and Emmy Award-winning World War II miniseries "Band of Brothers", produced for HBO by Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg. Speight has also appeared in television series such as "The Agency", "E.R.", "Jericho (TV series)", Supernatural (TV series)"Party Of Five" and "JAG" for CBS, as well as several commercials, which include Got Milk?, IBM, and Disney.

He has appeared in such films as "Speed 2", "The Last Big Attraction", and starred in Jason Reitman's "In God We Trust". He also co-directed and co-starred in the independent feature "North Beach". His earlier work includes roles in the film "Ernest Goes To Camp" and a regular role in the NBC Saturday morning sitcom "Running the Halls". He also had a brief role in "Thank You for Smoking".
