February 11 ,1900 , Washington sold him (along withBill Dineen andBuck Freeman ) to theBoston Beaneaters for $7500. After two seasons, Boston released him onMay 11 ,1901 , only to be signed by thePhiladelphia Phillies five days later. Barry remained with Philadelphia until he was traded to theChicago Cubs forFrank Corridon onJuly 20 ,1904 . Chicago later sold him to theCincinnati Reds onJanuary 20 ,1905 . OnJuly 25 ,1906 , he was traded to theSt. Louis Cardinals forHomer Smoot . The Cardinals sold him to the New York Giants onAugust 3 ,1908 .Barry died at the age of 58 in
Los Angeles, California . He was interred at the Calvary Cemetery in Los Angeles.References
