Teri'i-na-vaha-roa Teri'i Ta-tia Te-ha'apapa III, Ari'i-rahi of
Huahine . (b. atFare ,8 August 1879 - d. at Fare,27 April 1917 ). She was the ruler (Ari'i-rahi ) of Huahine 1893 -1895. She was the eldest daughter ofMarama Teri'i-fa'atau-a-Te-'uru-rai Regent of Huahine. She was crowned with the reign name of Te-ha'apapa III, 1893. Deposed when Huahine was annexed by the French, September 1895. She married first at Fare15 May 1895 (divorced6 august 1897 ) toTeri'i-te-vae-a-ra'i-a-Mai a descendant of the Mai family ofBora Bora . She died at Fare,27 April 1917 . She had one son by her first husband and eleven other natural children through an irregular union withTinitua-a-Tu-Ari'i-hi-ona .Teri'i-na-vaha-roa Teri'i Ta-tia Te-ha'apapa III, Ari'i-rahi ruled over Huahine for many years before her son took over the throne in 1894 right before her death. Her son's style of ruling was often disputed, and the eleven other natural children often tried to have her son killed so they could take over the throne and inherit the kingdom of Huahine.
