The North Carolina Journal of International Law and Commercial Regulation is a student-run legal journal at the University of North Carolina School of Law in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Now in its 33rd year of publication, the Journal is dedicated to stimulating the intellectual climate through legal scholarship in the area of international and foreign law. It is the second-oldest law journal at the University of North Carolina behind the school's Law Review.
Journal Symposiums
The Journal publishes four issues each year that include writings from academics, professionals, and students. For the last eight years, the Journal has also sponsored a symposium dealing with various issues affecting international law. The Journal's February 2007 symposium concerned the international legal ramifications of odious debt. Its most recent symposium, held in November 2007, involved a discussion of the controversial practice of extraordinary rendition.
