Operation Vijay (1999)

In the 1999 Kargil Conflict between India and Pakistan, Operation Vijay (Victory in Hindi) was the name of the successful Indian operation to push back the infiltrators from the Kargil Sector. It is sometimes referred to as Operation Vijay Kargil.

50th (INDEPENDENT) PARACHUTE BRIGADE (INDIA) PARTICIPATED IN KARGIL WAR.

The famous Bollywood movies like LOC Kargil and "LAKSHYA" of year 2004 is focused on this event.
