Volga-AviaExpress ( _ru. Волга-Авиаэкспресс) is an airline based in Volgograd, Russia. It operates scheduled services from Volgograd to cities in Russia and the CIS. Its main base is Volgograd International Airport.

History

It was established from the former Aeroflot Volgograd Division and was later known as Volga Airlines.

Fleet

As of August 2006 the Volga-Aviaexpress fleet includes:

*4 Tupolev Tu-134A
*2 Yakovlev Yak-40
*4 Yakovlev Yak-42

The airline currently has 5 Yakovlev Yak-42 aircraft in its fleet and is interested in boosting its fleet in 2007 [Airliner World, February 2007] .

Accidents

*Flight 1303 was downed by a terrorist bomb on August 24, 2004 along with an Siberia Airlines flight.
