Maria Barnas (born 28 August 1973, Hoorn) is a Dutch writer, poet and artist.[1] [2]

Life
She has written for theatre and has written a libretto for a chamber music piece called ‘The Piano Lake’. Barnas writes articles on art and poetry for newspaper NRC Handelsblad. Her art has been shown at Fons Welters (Amsterdam),[3] Galerie du Jour (Paris), and Stedelijk Museum (Amsterdam).[4]
She collaborated with Yotam Haber, a resident at the American Academy in Rome, on The Stendal Project.[5]
