Geoffrey Keynes , and thus the nephew of theeconomist John Maynard Keynes . His mother, Margaret Elizabeth (née Darwin), was the daughter of the astronomerGeorge Howard Darwin and the granddaughter ofCharles Darwin . His brothers are Quentin, Milo and Stephen (see alsoDarwin — Wedgwood family ). In 1945 he married Anne Pinsent Adrian, the elder daughter of Physiology Nobel Prize recipientEdgar Douglas Adrian, 1st Baron Adrian and DameHester Agnes Adrian , DBE.
