Paulo Jorge, full name Paulo Jorge Soares Gomes (born 16 June, 1980 in Braga), is a Portuguese football defender. He currently plays for Sporting Clube de Braga, and is the club captain.

Paulo Jorge has played for hometown club for the duration of his career, which he began, as a professional, in 2002-03.

Although a central defender, he scored five league goals in 2006-07, as well as two in UEFA Cup, against Tottenham Hotspur F.C. and A.C. Chievo Verona.
