Rosaceae , native toEurope ,Asia andAustralia . A study from 2003 (seeRosoideae ) indicates that "Aphanes" may belong to the genus "Alchemilla ", commonly called Lady's-mantle. They are slender, annual prostrateherb s, much-branched with deeply lobed leaves, pilose (covered with soft hair) and on short petioles. The tiny green to yellowflower s withoutpetal s grow in clusters in the denticulate leaflikestipule s. Field Parsley-piert is sometimes used as a herbal remedy againstkidney and bladder calculi.
