- John F. Cherry
John F. Cherry is an Aegean prehistorian and survey archaeologist. He received his PhD from the
University of Southampton , whereColin Renfrew was his thesis advisor. He is currently Professor of Classics at theJoukowsky Institute for Archaeology and the Ancient World atBrown University (where his wife,Susan Alcock is the director); previously he was director of the Interdepartmental Program in Classical Art and Archaeology at theUniversity of Michigan . He currently co-directs the Vorotan Project in Southern Armenia, and has co-directed archaeological surveys of Melos, Northern Keos and the Nemea Valley in southern Greece.Publications
