Future

KPRM applied to the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to increase its transmitter power to 50,000 watts. That application was granted on July 21, 2009. This would increase their signal across Minnesota and eastern North Dakota.

As of October 2011, WBKK is still operating under a construction permit. It is to debut with a news and talk format. This will include a simulcast of the "Coffee Talk" program, which originates at KPRM, and is currently simulcasted on KDKK and KAKK.

There are also FCC applications filed for two new radio stations, one in Rugby, North Dakota, at 95.3 FM, and another for Pine River, Minnesota, at 1210 AM. As of October 13, 2011, Edward Paul De La Hunt received a construction permit for 95.3 at Crary, North Dakota. This facility will serve the Devils Lake, North Dakota area.

Honors

In 2006, Ed and Carol De La Hunt were inducted into the Pavek Museum of Broadcasting Hall of Fame, in Golden Valley, Minnesota.[1] This Hall of Fame honors the outstanding talent of Minnesota's broadcast community.
