MHz ) is aradio station based inGrants, New Mexico , (population about 10,000), the county seat ofCibola County in westernNew Mexico . KDSK currently has a construction permit from the FCC to increase its category from a C2 station to a C1 station by moving its broadcasting tower on the south side of Mt. Taylor 20 miles closer to Albuquerque, increasing the antenna height by 2500 feet, and by increasing its transmitter power from 26,000 watts to 45,000 watts. The station's usable signal previously has been limited in Albuquerque to neighborhoods of higher elevation. The upgrade will significantly increase KDSK's City Grade Signal level coverage in theAlbuquerque radio market . It is owned by KD Radio and has an oldies format with a wide playlist sometimes called "Sound Souvenirs" but is usually just called KDSK. Its signal is also streamed on the internet from its website.KDSK also has an AM sister station, 50-year-old
KMIN (980kHz ) in Grants which has a classiccountry music format since June 2006 after about two years with anActive Rock format.External links
