Northwest Whitfield High School is a public high school in the Whitfield County, Georgia School District, USA. Colors are royal blue and burnt orange. The mascot is Bruin. The school is in division AAAA of Georgia High School Association Sports, and is located in Tunnel Hill, Georgia.

The two middle schools that feed into Northwest Whitfield High School are New Hope Middle School, and Westside Middle School.

Fine arts

Fine Arts at Northwest consist of choral, band, art, and drama departments.

  • The Band Department has The Sound of the Blazing Blue, Wind Ensemble, Jazz Band, and Concert Band, the largest being the Sound of the Blazing Blue with 200 members. The director of bands is George S. Barnett and the assistant director is Melody Gaddis.
  • The Choral Department is Acapella, Northwest Singers, Varsity Choir, and Concert Choir. The choral director is Carla Carroll.
  • The Drama Department consists of One-Act play, class plays, and a large annual spring musical. The director of the Drama Department is Mr. Josh Ruben.
