Peter Tuddenham (born
27 November 1918 –9 July 2007 [Daily Telegraph 11/07/2007] ) was a British actor who provided the voices of "Zen", "Orac" and "Slave", computers on the science fiction TV show "Blake's 7 ".He also provided voices for the "
Doctor Who " stories "The Ark in Space ", "The Masque of Mandragora " and "Time and the Rani ". Later he returned to tape the audio drama spin-offs "Occam's Razor" and "Death's Head".Further he also provided the voice for the Oracle in the adventure game "
The Feeble Files ."Tuddenham bagan his career in weekly repertory and entertained troops during the
Second World War as a member of the Army's "Stars in Battledress". Back home, he won a part inIvor Novello 's "The Dancing Years" and, following stints in West Endrevue s and farces, worked withNoel Coward in "Ace of Clubs".Moving into radio, he acted in the long-running series "
Mrs Dale's Diary " and "Waggoner's Walk ".Tuddenham also starred in the TV sitcom "
Backs to the Land " and later made numerous other occasional or one-off appearances in shows such as "Only Fools and Horses ", "One Foot in the Grave ", "The Onedin Line ", "Bergerac", "Tales of the Unexpected" and "The Bill ".References
