The Bala Cynwyd Middle School Science Olympiad team recently placed 11th of 60 at the National Science Olympiad Competition,as well as second in the State of Pennsylvania, and first in Southeast Pennsylvania Regionals. In the past they have placed as high as 4th at the National Science Olympiad Competition.
Sewickley Academy and Shadyside Academy in Pittsburg have always had a long battle with Bala Cynwyd to reach the National competition.
