Paul deParrie (
June 19 ,1949 –May 20 ,2006 ) was an Americanpro-life activist andauthor who lived inPortland, Oregon . He was theexecutive director of Believers Against Child Killing and editor-in-chief of "Life Advocate" magazine. He advocated for the use ofjustifiable homicide against abortion providers, and was a signatory ofPaul Jennings Hill 's "Defensive Action" manifesto. He was known for his trademark, the blackberet . He died from a heart attack after years of heart problems on Saturday, May 20, 2006 at the age of 56. DeParrie was a member of the Constitution Party, but stated that he would leave if the state party would not disaffiliate from the national party. However, deParrie died on May 20th, the day the steering committee for theConstitution Party of Oregon convened to consider disaffiliation, which it ultimately chose.deParrie was also a member of
Operation Rescue and was arrested several times while protesting.References
