Conrad Lee

Conrad Lee is a councilman of Bellevue, Washington. He is one of the most prominent and respected Asian American Republican elected officials in the state, winning the endorsement of Gary Locke.

Conrad Lee is an American by choice. Born in China, Conrad and his widowed mother fled the People's Republic of China. As an immigrant, Conrad embraced his new country with a love and enthusiasm that has only grown through the intervening years. Earning his B.S. in engineering from the University of Michigan, Conrad then completed his MBA at the University of Washington.

Conrad and his wife of 39 years, Winnie, settled in Bellevue in 1967. They raised their son, Chris, and daughter, Jennie, in the public schools of Bellevue, Washington.

Conrad Lee, American politician, was also a candidate for the United States House of Representatives in 2004. He ran as Republican in the Eighth Congressional District of Washington. The seat was held by Republican Jennifer Dunn, who is retired. Sheriff Dave Reichert eventually won that seat. Lee also ran earlier for the state House of Representatives.
