Boris Moiseev

Boris Mikhailovich Moiseev "Борис Михайлович Моисеев" (born March 4, 1954, Mogilev, Belarus) a dancer, choreographer, singer, artist of speaking genre, writer, actor, head of dance group and author of popular shows in Russia.

Biography

Boris Moiseev was born in prison in which his mother was as a disenfranchised element. He spent his childhood and youth among his Jewish aunts in Mogilev. Moiseev grew without the father and was a very painful child. To strengthen his health, Boris was sent to a dancing school. Since then dances had become Boris's life. He dropped out of the school, collected a suitcase with a modest wardrobe and ran away to Minsk. Boris was admitted into a choreography school and finished it as a classical dancer.

Career Beginning

Boris Moiseev learnt in a class of a famous ballerina, Mladinski who had danced with Anna Pavlova. Boris was excellent at classical dance, but he was affected with modern dance on stage. After graduating, Moiseev was expelled from Minsk due to his straight way of expression. He moved to Kharkiv where Moiseev became a ballet master but in 1975 he was expelled from Komsomol and left Kharkiv for Kaunas. He became a chief ballet master of the Lithuanian orchestra "Trinitas". In 1978 Moiseev created famous dancing trio "Ekspressiya" which entered into the "Songs's Theatre" of Alla Pugacheva. In 1987 the trio quit the Theatre and took on tours to the USA, Italy, and France. The trio worked for RAI-2 for a long time. In addition Moiseev was invited and worked as a ballet master for many American shows.

Return to a New Russia

Moiseev came back to Russia in 1991 filming a documentary on "Ekspressia". He directed most popular shows on a Russian stage. Moiseev always walks unbeaten paths, looks for new, undiscovered, sometimes even forbidden territories. He dashes where no one else has been, at least no artist in Russia. His shows are logged with strongest sexual energy, built on craziest artistic idea, without limits and bans.

Boris surprises the audience with great choreography, coloured costumes, sense of humour and melodic songs. He works together with professional dance group - the shows are filled with unexpected details and surprising turns.

A revealing interview with Boris, who is openly gay, was recently published. Boris spoke frankly about his sexual experiences with former Komsomol bosses.
