Georgeson's debut album Find Shelter was released through Plain Recordings on November 28, 2006.[1] He is credited as having "written, scored, arranged, recorded, and produced" the entirety of Find Shelter, according to a press release from Plain Recordings. Born January 19, 1975 in San Anselmo, California, he moved with his family to Nevada City, California at the age of four. Georgeson first found success as a part of San Francisco band The Pleased, along with fellow member Joanna Newsom, whose debut album The Milk-Eyed Mender he produced. He has played guitar in Devendra Banhart's live band since 2004,[2] produced both Banhart's Cripple Crow and Smokey Rolls Down Thunder Canyon, and is credited as a songwriter on four songs from Smokey Rolls Down Thunder Canyon (Lover, Saved, Samba Vexilographica, and Tonada Yanomaminista), as well as two songs on Banhart's most recent studio album, What Will We Be.[3] Other notable albums that Georgeson has produced include Bert Jansch's The Black Swan, Mason Jennings's Boneclouds, Little Joy's debut self-titled album, and Adam Green's most recent album, Minor Love. Since 2009, Georgeson has come to prominence as a mixer, mixing the majority of Joanna Newsom's 2010 album Have One On Me, and The Strokes latest album Angles. In February 2011, Robin Pecknold, singer of Fleet Foxes, recorded three songs with Georgeson, including a duet with Ed Droste of Grizzly Bear.
