Moccasin (1963–1986) was an American Thoroughbred Champion racehorse and the only two-year-old filly to be voted United States Horse of the Year.

A full sister to Ridan, Moccasin's grandsire was the champion Nasrullah, who in turn was sired by the very important Nearco. Although the Claiborne Farm filly won races at three and four, it was at age two that Moccasin put together a remarkable season that culminated with her sharing U.S. Horse of the Year honors with the four-year-old colt Roman Brother.

Retired to Claiborne's Marchmont Farm division in Paris, Kentucky, Moccasin was also very successful as a broodmare. She produced nine foals, of which seven won graded stakes races. Her son Apalachee, sired by Round Table, raced in Europe. He was voted the 1973 Champion 2-year-old in England and Ireland and became a successful sire. Another son, Belted Earl, sired by Damascus, also raced in Europe and was named 1982's Champion Older Male and Champion Sprinter in Ireland.

Moccasin died in 1986 at Marchmont Farm and is buried there in the equine cemetery.
