Ostrogozhsk (Russian: Острогожск) is a town and the administrative center of Ostrogozhsky District in Voronezh Oblast, Russia, located on the Tikhaya Sosna River (Don's tributary) 142 kilometers (88 mi) south of Voronezh. Population: 33,842 (2010 Census preliminary results);[1] 34,585 (2002 Census);[2] 34,492 (1989 Census).[3]

It was established in 1652 and granted town status in 1765.
