Thomas J. O'Brien (Massachusetts)

Tom O'Brien, American politician, is currently the Treasurer of Plymouth County, Massachusetts. His term will expire in 2008, at which time he may run for reelection. He was appointed to the post in August 2006.

Tom O'Brien served as the Massachusetts State Representative for the 12th Plymouth District, which includes the towns of Kingston and Plympton and parts of Plymouth, Duxbury, Halifax, and Middleborough. He is a Democrat. O'Brien was first elected to the Massachusetts House in 1996. O'Brien has a perfect 100% voting record, never having missed a roll call vote. During most of his tenure, he was the only Eagle Scout serving in the Massachusetts legislature.

O'Brien is also the CEO and President of Bay Colony Baseball & Athletics, LLC, the parent company of the Plymouth River Eels baseball team.

O'Brien lives in Kingston with his two children. He earned a bachelor's degree from Georgetown University.
