Preston College is a
further education college in the city ofPreston ,Lancashire ,England . The college originally opened as W R Tuson College in September 1974 and was renamed on 1 September 1989. The college offers a lot of vocational based subjects including dance, music, media and performing arts. The college also offers many sixth form subjects such as English Combined, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Maths and Futher maths.
As of 2008, the college Principal and Chief Executive is Willie Mills. Former Principal of
Northumberland College andCity College, Manchester , he took up his post at Preston College in March 2007.Alumni
During the 1980s, British Comedian
Lenny Henry re-took hisO Levels at the college whilst appearing in a summer comedy show in Blackpool.
