- Eric Paulos
Eric Paulos is an American
computer scientist ,artist , andinventor , best known for his early work oninternet robotic teleoperation and is considered a founder of the field ofUrban Computing . He is a seniorresearch scientist atIntel Research inBerkeley, CA , where he joined the staff in 2002. His published work is primarily in the areas ofRobotics ,Urban Computing ,Human-Computer Interaction ,Computer supported cooperative work , andUbiquitous computing . AtIntel Research, he directed the Urban Atmospheres group that focuses its research on technology within the context of public urban places. Born and raised inCalifornia , Eric received aB.S. ,M.S. , andPh.D. inElectrical Engineering andComputer Science from theUniversity of California, Berkeley , completing his Ph.D. in 2001.In September 2008, Eric joined the faculty at
