Wendy "WW (or Double W)" Weatherbee is a fictional character in the Archie comics universe. She was created by artist Fernando Ruiz and editor Nelson Ribeiro for Archie Comic Publications, Inc.. She is the niece [Archie Comics "Coming Comics" Page] of the principal of Riverdale High School, Waldo Weatherbee.

When she first appeared, Veronica thought she was too quirky, but Betty liked her. She likes to call herself WW. She likes being an individualist. She belongs to an entomology club and has a pet tarantula named Tara (although entomology refers to insects and tarantulas are "not" insects) as well as other exotic pets, such as an iguana. She also has her own website of her likes and dislikes (seen in "Betty and Veronica Double Digest" #144, although Wendy herself did not appear), and a weird sense of fashion.

She is the artistic and quirky niece of Riverdale High's principal Waldo Weatherbee. She made her first appearance in "Tales From Riverdale Digest" #10. Once the boys found out she was Mr. Weatherbee's niece, they avoided her like the plague. The key factor to Wendy's character is that even thought she is extremely pretty, she has a hard time finding dates due to her relation with the high school's principal.

Wendy once tried to get Jughead to like her in Jughead in "Jughead and Friends" #12 (his individualism was just the sort of thing that interested her). Other potential love interests have included Dilton Doiley, and Bingo Wilkin; however, the stories involving these were one-off plots, no one has become her official boyfriend. Nevertheless, she and Jughead have become friends.

Apart from every other girl in Riverdale, Betty & Veronica are not threatened by Wendy because they know that Archie, although he is attracted to her, is too scared to date her for fear of Mr. Weatherbee's wrath.

So far, Wendy's mother has not been shown in any Archie Comics story. Her father, Tony, who is Mr. Weatherbee's twin brother, appears in "Tales From Riverdale" #28. So far, Wendy has appeared exclusively in the Archie Comics Digests, most often in "Tales of Riverdale".
