Briguel

Nuno Miguel Pereira Sousa, aka "Briguel" (born March 8, 1979 in Funchal), is a Portuguese football defender, who currently plays for C.S. Marítimo in the Portuguese first division. He operates mainly as a defensive right back.

Briguel - nickname received in a homage to former rock-hard German international defender Hans-Peter Briegel (note the slightly different spelling) - spent his entire career in the green and red colours of hometown C.S. Marítimo, making his first-team debuts in 2000-01, against Boavista F.C..

Briguel also played for the Portuguese U21s, though never an undisputed starter at Marítimo.
